Earligrande Peach
Prunus persica 'Earligrande'
“200 hours. Big fruit. Ripens early. Widely available.”
Earligrande delivers one of the earliest ripening windows of the standard low-chill peaches — late April in Zone 8 — with good fruit size and yellow flesh. Around 200 chill hours. Self-fertile, reliable, and easier to find at nurseries than some of the University of Florida releases. A solid workhorse variety. Not the most interesting peach you'll ever eat, but it produces consistently and gets peaches on your table in spring when nobody else has them.
