Ne Plus Ultra is one of the oldest California almond varieties still in commercial production — soft-shell, large papery-thin shell that cracks by hand, flavorful sweet kernel. 250–300 chill hours, which is some of the lowest in the almond world. Needs a pollenizer — All-In-One or another almond nearby works. Heavy producer when pollinated. The combination of Ne Plus Ultra + All-In-One is a legitimate warm-climate almond orchard in two trees.
