The standard Eastern Redbud is fine. This is not fine — it's electric. New growth emerges orange-gold, matures through chartreuse, settles into green by summer. In spring it's covered in magenta flowers before a single leaf opens. Small tree, enormous presence. The native-plant crowd will still approve. You don't need their approval.
