Royal Lee Cherry
Prunus avium 'Royal Lee'
“Pairs with Minnie Royal. Together they produce in Zone 8.”
Royal Lee is the pollinator counterpart to Minnie Royal — plant them together and both produce heavily. Dark-red, large-fruited sweet cherry. 200–300 chill hours. Ripens a week or two after Minnie Royal, extending the harvest window. Slightly firmer flesh, rich flavor, holds on the tree better than most. The best strategy for warm-climate cherry production is the Minnie Royal / Royal Lee pair. Neither works as well without the other.
